I used to get quit a few south of Raymond on the irrigation ponds. There identifiable by there irradic flight and there harder than hell to hit. I sugjest size 6 shot as they can fly through a #4 patturn due to there small size and speed on the wing. My sugjestion is try Mallards or Pintails they are alot more abundant and easier to hit.
Hey C L, birds of a feather....theres always more than one.
Cray.I found this Rit Dye Chart that shows a couple of different shades of teal. I've got that maple I showed you in chat coming in and it would be perfect for dyeing. I'll play around with some different recipees and see what I come up with. Should be able to get pretty close.
Thanks for all of the replies! Especially to samhell and Jerry for the USEFUL advice
Jerry, what is WSSI? samhell, I'll talk to you on chat about that.
Robert and the hoodlums, though sticking a duck on a knife handle would be easy (already predrilled and might provide a soft, feathery, frip-conforming handle, I think I'll pass. Someone else can pioneer the use of animal BODIES for handles!
Hmm... then again, a gopher would be just the right size for a bowie handle...
