Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find a Military Strobe light used by pilots as part of their survival kit.
I'm not looking for the older type with the special battery that is impossible to find/buy in the Netherlands but for the newer type that uses regular AA sized Alkaline/Lithium batteries and comes with an integrated Infrared cover.

Anyone, who knows were we could get one drop me an email orbetter yet drop one out of your plane/chopper at the following coordinates:

N51 45 39.2 E5 47 04.6

Preferably on a small chute

Hi Sender,

Thanks for the info, I know these D-cell Strobe's there are also ones that use AA batteries I found them also.
It's just that I like to find a source for the latest type military strobe as they are really flat, though and flash really bright.

By the way I found a site who sells the special batteries for the Older type military strobe with the brass screwndown end they go for 4 batteries for $20.

Hi Mapper,

Go see the following site:

http://www.voicenet.com/~sgphoto/batteries.htm

They sell all kinds of weird batteries and also surplus government battery packs containing Lithium very high power D-cells (can easily strip the pack into individual D-cells

) This should make your maglite(s) lighter and longer burning

That's the one! the BA1574.

I have two of the military strobes. The last time I found batteries for em at a specialty shop called Batteries Plus they cost $26 each!. $20 for 4 is a deal compared to that!

Hi Sender,

I see that I just saved you 4 x $26 = $104 - $20 = $84 on batteries for your 2 military strobes

Now you can carry a spare battery witch each of them.
You could of course throw out one of the strobes and send it to our club
