Where da Munk?

No reason to miss my weasel ass. I'll be back before Xmas. This place is great and deserves special handling. I realized it was time I stopped being outraged by anything. ( except felonies) There is a story about those who take offense are as bad as those who give it.

munk

munk is one of the good guys for sure.

I haven't been around much lately either. He sent me a note wanting to know if all was OK. It is. Just busy with other "stuff" and such.

I notice that everyone's post count is WAY up. Seems like only yesterday Nasty and DIJ had a count of two. I need to get caught up on the happenings.
Time is flying by it seems.

Merry Christmas to all Cantinistas'!

Here is a story related to me by munk.
He was visiting Uncle Bill in the Trailer last summer. At some point, munk exclaimed to Bill,

"I am not the moral arbitur of the Forum."
A note of seriousness came through Bill's weakness and good mood at the visit.

"NO, You are not!!"

Munk related this story to me by the railroad tracks one night as we were watching the Hobos die.

How do I know?

I am, after all,

Ed Know

Ed,
Hobos have been extinct for years. The spots by the railroad tracks are now occupied by Bums. A moral arbiter must be able to tell the difference.

You are correct. I was fortunate enough to meet some of the Hobos in the 1970's, or at least older men who rode the rails, lived sporadically in camps, and who knew of still older men who'd ridden in the glory days.

One taught me, "Shannandoa" (sic) on the harmonica
That's why I said; watching them die.

Ed Know, I know I am

That *was* yesterday Bro...boy, are my fingers sore!

I used to go down to the tracks at night
just to sit and watch the trains
with a bottle besides me and one million ghosts
who used to sit and do the same
what they saw might be Time marching by
impartial, perfect, and clean
hoping they'd get a chance to ride
that Black Locomotive Machine

I want to get drunk with Hunter S Thompson
before he kills himself off
He's dying right before us
a thumb's up for the Land he was supposed to love

Part of a song munk wrote when he was 20

I could tell you stories..

Good to see you, too, Hollow. You were the first person on the forum I met.

Several months ago, wasn't it?

Welcome too the Cantina/Psycho Ward, as the case may be, Ed Know!!!! :D

Munk has an alter ego. hehehehe.:D Wish I had one, but I'm stuck with the same ol' same ol'.:grumpy: :(

Wish I could tell stories like Munk too! Y'all should be able to read the one about bunk beds he sent me the other night.:D
My life just is... not nearly as interesting as some others, but then again I'm kinda grateful for that; as it used to be. And now the stress is much reduced. :D
