Where did 1084 go???

I'm guessing just out of stock. Guessing and hoping. I've got enough for another month maybe, mostly because I plan to do a batch of stainless next, but then I'm out again. I'd planned to order some with my stainless but it was out.
 
I was wondering the same thing. Hoping to purchase steel for my first non-file knife, but it's nowhere to be found!
 
the last time I talked to him - about a month ago - he told me that he was getting very low on his 1084. I'm guessing that he is waiting on another batch from the mill

That would make sense. He also happens to be in the middle of having his whole website rebuilt, that might have something to do with it.

Anyway, call him. If he can't get a steel for you, chances are no one in the US can... plus he's a heckuva fun guy to talk with.
 
Talked to him today, he is very low so they pulled it from the site. But he does have some in stock. You jut gotta call to get it.
 
He is redoing his website. I'm 100% positive hes got some still give him a call.
 
I wouldn't worry about him never having it again. Aldo is the steel pimp of choice for many of us Neanderthals that make damascus and his 1084FG is the first, second and third choice for many of us.;)
