Finally got my Coote set up and ready to grind. I am new to knife making and am wondering where everyone buys their sanding belts? Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Call John Williams at Klingspore, 800-645-5555. He is the blade maker rep. He will walk you through the belts available and take your order.Great guy to deal with. www.klingspore.com

I second John Williams at Klingspore, 800-645-5555. This guy will tell you everything you need to know about belts. Discounts and get you going. Nice guy too.

I'd call James Poplin, best prices and service around. The others listed can get you things that Pop doesn't carry. If you don't see something on his website, call him, he may just have it. I think you can get some great deals from Supergrit if you shop carefully. Trugrit has large selection, but some of their prices are through the roof for small orders.

I wanted to add in that Midwest KnifeMakers Supply has a large selection of belts and some good prices. I haven't ordered from Tracy before, but he's been recommended to me. Although he's here on bladeforums, I don't ever see him advertising himself in threads like this one.
