Just bought a knife from www.discountknives.com and was very pleased with the service. Should point out that they will beat any regular price on the web. Check out the site for details.

Best regards,

I live in Europe and there is a much smaller selection of US online outlets which deal with international customers (apparently due to customs and credit cards problems).

I have had dealings with the following "shops":

-www.bestknives.com: great service, good selection and prices, very good shipping times (you can track the progress of your order online, which is great for anybody who can't wait to get his hands on some new toys:D );

-www.pvk.com and www.knifezilla.com: fair selection and prices, things get here reasonably fast, no online tracking;

-www.tadgear.com: great stuff (sometimes you can only find it here), good shipping times, no online order tracking, average-to-high prices;

-www.cutleryshoppe.com: average selection, good prices, no online tracking, cheaper shipping rates and very, very long shipping times (you always get what you pay for, on the other hand ...); it's also the only dealer with which I'm actually worried whether one parcel will finally get here, so I may not order from them in future;

-www.888knivesrus.com: recently ordered something, too early to say anything.

Another thumbs up for www.bestknives.com for Canadian residents.. Shipped via Purolator, which often allows you to forgo paying customs charges... also Online ordering without having to phone in, and a 1-800 that works in Canada in case you do.

Places that i've bought from with good results before would include www.eknifeworks.com, www.1sks.com, and ebay

Most all of my knives that I buy for myself come from my gun shop. It may sound weird since I own the shop, but MY knives are totally separate from the SHOP knives. If I want one out of the shop, I have to purchase it from myself.

I forgot to mention my local knife dealer at Uppercut www.uppercut.ca who is a great guy who keeps things nice and personal and knows you by your name and treats you fairly. I met Al at a cabin show and instantly started chatting with him. Now we are pretty close and I visit his shop quite often sometimes just to chat knives.

For any of you local Canadian guys, give uppercut a try you will love the prices and service.
