Where do you EDC all your "stuff"? In your pockets or on your belt?

Some people (especially us guys) refuse to clip anything to their belts, except maybe a cell phone... it all gets stuffed into their pockets.... keys, knives, wallet, etc, etc.

While others can't stand putting anything in their pockets (or maybe their pockets are full) and hang everything off their belts 'til they look like freakin' batman... key ring, knife pouch, PDA, cell phone, etc.

Which kind are you??

I don't want to look like Rambo. I usually carry a medium to small sized knife in my pocket, a microlight on my keyring, which is hung on a victorinox key hanger. I keep a Streamlight Scorpion and a Jones Brothers fixed blade in the door pocket. My Glock and X5 are on the passenger seat. I carry a duffel bag with a Nuwai Q3, large folder of some type, and rain/ cold weather gear. Cell phone is clipped to my visor.

Everything goes in my pockets or my FatBoy.

Sometimes I have a multitool on my waist or maybe my iPod, but that is it.

I think I have to be a pocket guy. In my head, everything has a place, I always know where my pen, my keyw, change, knife, carmex, or anyhting else will be. I have recently become a fan of the back non-wallet pocket for waterbottles and papers. I am a cell phone belt guy.

Cell, and pen in front left pocket, knife cliped there when not at school. Keys in front right pocket, with a cheepo led and leatherman micra (small sak atm while micra on warranty). Wallet, right rear pocket. I almost always wear a belt but I dont have anything there anymore. I used to have my cell there but the holder broke and i like it better this way.

For work I edc a two-way, tons of keys, a CS voyager, two pruners and an LM blast. Since I hate stuff in my pockets (other than a wallet) I carry it all on my belt. I need to get at this stuff often and quickly so everything on the belt seems to work the best.

OK your batman!!!

I carry most of my stuff in my pockets, however I don't like bulky things in my pockets. So I try to keep everything as small and thin as possible. My big thing is I don't like to advertise what I have on me. The only thing on my belt is my cell phone and a very thin small case for my L-man charge bits (both covered by my shirt). My charge is carried deep in my pocket, but hung off a lanyard on my belt. It is hard to explain, but all you can see is a piece of 550 cord going from my belt loop into my pocket, however it is fast to take out and use because of the charges quick release lanyard loop. On my left front pocket is my E1E-HA with KL1. Sometimes I have it clipped to my pocket, other times I throw it inside. Depends where I am going or what I am doing.

I carry enough junk that I have to take advantage of both approaches. :) I have three pouches plus a holster on my belt. Then I fill the pockets of my cargo pants. Everything has a place and the weight is distributed for maximum comfort.

I like a 3 to 4 inch knife clip to my right or left pocket, being ambidextrous has it advantages. I like to shake things up and switch things around but for the most part I carry everything in my front pockets. Wallet and knife on one side, keys and a D2E Surefire defender on the other side. Some times the Surefire gets cliped to my belt if I think I may need it fast. If I need to carry any other knives for some reason (camping, hiking, yard work) they end up in shirt pockets, or replace the Surefire. I like to travel lite.

leatherman juice and photon on a retracter go on the belt, phone and wallet get attached to belt loops with a chain and put in front left and rear left pockets respectively. fisher bullet sized lamy pen goes in loose in right rear with hankerchief usually. front right varies, usually mints plus some car keys.
in the jacket i usually carry a book (lately), gloves, some tylenol and my work schedule.

Im a pocket man personally, c/card wallet, keys (with micra) and sak in front left, Cash wallet, CMG infinity ultra, tissue (for my nose :)) and sometimes surefire in front right.

If I take my cell phone with me I dont keep it in any one pocket in particular. It will sometimes spend short periods of time in my cargo pocket or if Im at work it lives on the desk or in my suit jacket pocket. This is because I believe theyre bad for you especially if theyre pressed against one part of you for extended periods.

SAK Swisschamp in the Victorinox small leather pouch on my belt at 3 o'clock. Arc AAA in the side pocket of the pouch. Sun Minicomp 2 compass in the main pocket of the pouch, under the SAK.

Spyderco Pride in the watch pocket of my jeans.

Leatherman Sideclip (sometimes) in the right rear pocket of the jeans.

My other kit in the pockets of whatever load-bearing device I may be carrying, e.g. Maxpedition Proteus or Camelbak HAWG.

If venturing far afield, a naughty, non-PC folder in the right front pocket, e.g. Al Mar SERE 2000, Sebenza, Ritter Grip.

Apart from fat and a belt, nothing around the waist!:D At work, I carry my stuff in my pants pockets; small Ansø fixed blade in rfp, SAK Recruit in thigh pocket (usually wearing cargo pants), keys w/LM Micra and Photon I in lfp. The rest of the stuff is in my Maxpedition FatBoy.
Sometimes I carry a small fixed blade in a Mercop inspired shoulder harness made of paracord under a shirt. It's hardly felt, easy access and really comfty! (as long as the knife is resonably light)

Pockets, it all goes into my pockets, that's why I love pants and jackets with lotsopockets, like cargo pants, or photographers vests.

My god! what are you some sort of knife wielding maniac?? quick, run and hide or we'll all be dead. Call the army, dont panic, dont panic...

Sorry, for a moment there I fell under the governments brainwashing techniques...

Can you believe I got a comment at work the other week when I took out a non locking SAK to open a parcel... :barf:

I have a nylon belt pouch I used for a while but my girlfriend was always picking on it saying I looked like a nerd so I went back to pocket stuffing :grumpy:

Does anyone wear anything like a lightweight waistcoat for extra pocket space? I've often thought it could work well as its not as obvious youre packing loads of stuff, but whenever I mention it I get the nerd speech again... :grumpy:
