I was looking around at prices for the Spyderco Military and I stumbled upon a Spyderco.com forum thread where a guy found a Police at a pawn shop for $4! Granted, I'm sure something like that almost never happens and I probably won't ever find a deal that good.
But do any of you guys have places you go to find awesome deals like that? Yard sales, pawn shops, ebay, etc.
Feel free to post your finds (if any).

Garage sales are good for picking up old Buck Knives and things like that. I see good knives at Auctions from time to time as well.

I found i know it isnt that amazing a gerber evo for 2$ at kmart. I every once in a while find a nice sale on knifecenter. I never found a good deal on ebay personally i always find things i like and they are 10-15$ more then they are on knife sites.

Leatherman wave almost brand new for..........................$3 at good will (EPIC WIN)

Somebody mentioned Good Will the other day for cheap knives to practice on but I didn't even think about the possibility of nice knives. That's a great idea! I doubt most of the workers there know much about knives so they probably don't know how to price them.

Yup I almost had a small heart attack when I saw it lol, I was just waiting for the cashier to say "oh there must have been some kind of mistake"

Gun shows can be good places, you have to know what to look for and look carefully, last year I saw a Manix 1 PE NIB for $100, the one I went to last weekend I saw an Emerson Fixed Karambit for $80 and a picked up a Spyderco Delica 3 in ATS-55 for $25 (BNIB new old stock).

I've been to a few gun shows. What kind of booths would have deals like that? The only people selling good knives are like knife shops and they probably know what they have and what it's worth.

Before you shop, you gotta research on each particular knife. How much it's worth, how much you can easily buy it for & how much you consider a certain knife selling at to be a good deal. For example the PM2 when available sells for $108 give or take...but it's sold out everywhere so seller bump up the price.

Most best deal will come from private seller, thru website auctions like eBay. I sometime find great deal! My last great deal was for a brand new BM 553 & a SOG Flash 2 new, both for & $60 shipped. The other day I got the Spyderco Delica 4 PE for $45 shipped.

My best deals were last weekend at a local flea market. I found a Delica 4, Endura 4 and Delica 4 wave for $20 a piece. Then I picked up a Mini-AK47 for $10. All four knives are new in box. I couldn't believe my eyes so I picked them all up. It's 100% luck.
