Where do you go to use your knives?

I don't remember pack weight ever being an issue for me. I'm 44 years old, stay active, and am in fairly good shape. I bring what I want to bring, whenever I go backpacking. It's funny what some folks consider as surviving, my wife and I do for fun!

I'm getting a bit older 51 now ... and I can say just the last year is the first I can say I really feel any different from being 25 ...

but was an athlete have stayed fairly active ... the last few years not as often as I'd like with moving back taking care of my folks ...

but I'm not quite ready to put out to pasture yet ... although some may say it's just time to put me out ... anywhere just out ... lol

MarriedTheMedic MarriedTheMedic and I will always backpack camp until the day that we can't anymore. After that, I'll just buy us an RV and we'll travel the country doing some RV camping! But, some of the most beautiful places on Earth, you have to walk to get to.

Darn straight! I just told someone the other day that I would run until I can't. Same thing with backpacking, too! :D

I always swore RV or camper camping wasn't for me .. I still feel that way ... but I can at least see why people would do that nowdays ...

lawd am I getting old? lol

Well as long as I can go hunting and picking berries and mushrooms ... and occasionally just wander off for a few days where I won't hear a vehicle or see other people ... I'll keep doing it as often as I can fit it in.

after that I may need a scooter with trax on it and training wheels ... but unless they lock me down I'll still love getting out sitting by a fire and whittling if I can't use my knives for much else.

well I was lucky enough to have dad until he was 90 ... and he loved the outdoors and he loved to work in the yard even being legally blnd and not able to get in the timber anymore ...

And still at 88 years old I had to chase him off ladders cleaning out gutters or trimming trees ... and make him take a break from raking leaves ... if I have half of his get up and go even in another 10 years I'll be pretty happy.

Do what you love any chance you get as long as you can!
