Where do you guys buy Svord fixed blades?

Hey guys,

I've been aware of the Svord Peasant knife for a while now, but not until the recent Von Trempsky bowie thread did I know that they made fixed blades. The 7" Hunter model (280H) has struck my fancy, but I seem to have the toughest time finding it online. There's one on ebay for $200 which seems extraordinarily high given the prices of the other bowie model, 280B. I've found it on one New Zealand based website, but that seems like a complete hassle (although for all I know, it could be the only way to get it). So I'm wondering, do you guys have a preferred dealer for Svord knives? Or should I just try and buy them straight from the manufacturer?

this thread belongs in the g,b, & u forum since it's asking for dealer ref's. you should email a mod and ask them nicely to move it for you.

i have seen the 280b version bowie in two places in the usa. i haven't seen the 280h offered anywhere in the usa, but i haven't really looked yet either.

just guessing here, but i imagine for a fee, one of these dealers who has access to svord products could maybe special order you one, with their next shipment. might take awhile, and possibly not able to due to maker's contracts, etc. still worth a couple emails or phone calls though. just a thought.
 
It's been about a year and a half, but I purchased a Svord bush machete and the less expensive pig sticker from Collings & Bradey Outdoor Supplies in New Zeland. All went smoothly. Haven't checked recently, but at the time they were listed as a Svord dealer. If I'm not mistaken, they were able to get most of Svord's models.
 
Hey buddy,

I would just contact svord directly, I live in NZ and own a few, I dont like the mahogany handles on the newer ones but if you order straight from bryan he will do you micarta handles for 10 bucks more or many other options.

I have the hunter your after and its a great knife
