Looking through the picture threads on the Buck forum, I always see what I think are non-standard Bucks, with fancy inlays, bolster designs, and rare wood. Where do you get guys get 'em?

I bought my 1991 Yellowhorse 110 at a knife show in Pasadena, Ca., the Yellowhorse 112 from a forum member that listed it for sale in the Buck knives for sale section of the forum.

A very talented forum member created three (a 111, 110 and 701) for me. The rest all came either from e-bay or an online dealer. They aren't hard to find really.

Chewy the bay is loaded but beware, I've seen scales and file work that look good in the standard pic but if zoom option is avialable always check for gaps at bolsters and so forth-also customizing voids Buck 4-ever warranty. That being said, I've seen some extremely knice looking nives on ebay that I would be thrilled to have(except I got no money:()

BTW there are some fine customizers who are fixtures on this subforum

just wonderin; what would $100 get you for a little work on a 110 ? more ??? less ?? not counting s/h. or sheath. i'd luv to have a 110 " specialized ". :D

Well Chewy1,

I have found most of the Buck limited editions on ebay. However, I have bought some from the forum members here. I have bought some very nice LE/SO Bucks from MR. Oden, he puts out a list of consignment knives that he sells and also he is a Buck dealer for their new knives. You can find some a gun/knife shows.

If Armand reads this he can give you some tips....I need to use some of his tips!

There is a great 112 on the production for sale side right now. It's a Redrummd item that is a steal in my mind!

Buy from the quality makers or Buck production versions and you'll be fine.

Chewy1, I get mine Buck knives from swap meets, yard sales, estate sales, ebay and just from talking to a lot people at stores, gun/knives shows, and a few from Larry Oden and friends... Good Luck on your hunt for Bucks.... ITE

In the early days Buck employees made a LOT of variations of standard knives...There is many 'special project' and 'LE's or limited editions Bucks where there were only 100 to 500 or so made...Buck has a real rich history of limited edition models featuring rare [like mastodon ivory] materials for collectors and persons of discriminating taste...E;bay is the world wide supermarket but craigslist will have a few too. What do ya want??? SOMEBODY here will likely have it or real close to it...
