Where do you keep your knives?

keep them? you mean i have to gather them all in one place? oh... (the hunt begins)

I currently keep my knives in little metal cabinet. This is a temporary solution because I want to present my knives in a metal show-case. Unfortunately I haven’t found one up to now, that corresponds to my taste.

i keep the majority in the safe - leave out the ones i carry often, like my Sifu, Crawford Kasper folder, CRKT Polkawski Companion w/custom sheath, Gunting and my newbie, my Lum Ti Tanto - kinda like the guns, all locked up but my EDCs my Glock 23 and 27 and my SIG P220, oh and my KelTech, and those are kept up on the top shelf of the built in entertainment center in the MBR, which is about 6' high - hey i got a kid - wish i could keep them all on display, but i have a brother in law w/a crack cocaine problem and its best not to tempt him unneccesarily lol........

Knives that are constantly in my daily rotation (a few small fixed blades, two Case Canoes, Pinnacle, Wegner, Military) get left out on a shelf that serves as a nightstand. The rest get stuffed into a Bladeforums knife bag (best purchase I've made in a while). Larger blades get tucked wherever they fit. I keep all my unfinished knives on the top of my workbench, and anything past heat treat gets a special drawer so they don't get banged around too much. All the finished knives I have FOR SALE are in the same drawer, tucked away in their nice sheaths, just waiting for the right person to email their maker and say, "Wow, that's a good price for a handmade knife...I'll take it:". Hint hint.
 
Since I like to look at and fondle all my knives, I keep them displayed on our old dining room table that I took downstairs into my cave. Got a nice sheet/tablecloth over it and the knives are just laying out in some kind of order.
 
Since I only have 6 knives to speak of, I keep them in a cigar box under my bed. That seems to work well enough for me.:rolleyes:
