Where do you sharpen?

Cool... Just curious,,, a dozen or so years of flattening/lapping stones at the kitchen sink,,, never seen an issue. But like Heaveyhanded... done with a generous amount of water.

Maybe the coffee grounds keep it cleared out...

I've got a table in my garage with most of my stones and equipment on it that I sharpen at.

I have been sharpening kitchen knives for many years as well as my other knives over the kitchen sink. I use the left side and have it plumbed in below the right side which has the disposal in it. Never had an issue and in the old days alone I went through 30 pounds of Norton India and crystolon easily.
I just avoid having any grit go through the disposal.
