Where do you shoot your guns?

My yard.
it leads into a 200 acre field with a hill at the end, so I'm not worried about hurting anyone.

Logging roads and rock pits.We have a small one bench range here,it is a real PITA to shoot there.I've seen people lined up there waiting for a turn to sight in before hunting season,no thanks.

Have an aunt & uncle that have a second home on 9 acres in the hills about 90 minutes away from my place. They have a small back house/library made from adobe that they leave unlocked for me. Fridge, bathroom, pool table, no TV or internet. I make a day of it.

I used to shoot at the local range but with the highly inflated cost of ammo these days I usually save it for when I go camping. Plenty of open forest where shooting is allowed, a lot more fun than 15 minute firing intervals at the local range

I have access to 2 farms pretty close to me. A few years ago, I had some business cards made up with my name, address, phone, & work name printed on one side, along with a picture of a fishing rod, gun, & deer. On the back side were 3 personal references with phone #'s, my NRA#, B.A.S.S.#, & local gun club information.
If I happened to find a place with a pond or some shooting access, I would stop and ask if they allowed shooting or fishing. 9 times out of 10 they would say no the first time, I would hand them a card, and thank them for their time. I would always stop back about 2-3 weeks later, "just happened to be in the area", and see if they had changed their minds. One farmer said he would let me fish IF I did not leave any trash lying around like the person before me did. I didn't leave trash, also took some fish home, filleted them, and took them back to him to say thank you. After a year of allowing me to fish AND hunt on his farm, he introduced me to his neighbor who now allows me the same priviledges on his property. Last year I harvested a buck and a doe, processed the meat on my dime, and gave both of the farmers more than enough venison to last them thru the season.
That $12 cost for those 200 cards has paid itself back 100 times over . . . . .
Be safe.

I live on a 30 Acre farm in Rural NC...near the TN border. Most of the time I shoot off the back Porch. But You always see people setting up rifles and such next to the train tracks about a min out of town. So around here you could really shoot just about anywhere. Moving to Alaska in the next year....think its about the same up there.

Usually in the national forest in the sierra foothills, but occasionally on some property just outside of town owned by someone I know.
