Where do your Spydies come from?

I'm split pretty evenly between US, Taiwan, & Japan

Of the 23 Spydercos currently in the drawer, 15 are Golden. 11 of those are Para2's.
The best overall quality, best fit and finish, are the 5 from Taichung.

Most carried models for me are Golden, Para2, Military, Manix 2 XL.

This poll has been very interesting so far!

USA Spydies dominate the collections of 2/3 of respondents even though fewer models originate from Golden than either Taichung or Seki City. I guess that speaks to the power of variations within a model, sprint runs, exclusives, etc. which tend to be more plentiful in USA knives. I can also appreciate the alure of collecting variations of a model one truly loves.

I guess it also speaks to how good the Golden models are as well.

I just took delivery of another Taichung Spydie today. Yes, I’m still geeking out over it, but the Spydiechef may actually ruin me for all other knives. Apologies in advance if I start smearing it all over the forum.

Anyway, here’s a fresh pic of the whole crew. Admittedly, my collection is lacking a Millitary, but after lurking lots of threads here, I’m a little afraid to start down that hole—hahaha.

I currently own US but I guess have had more of the Japanese made delica and endura pass through my hands. Had never quantified the spydercos and have a nagging feeling that I may be missing one.

Most of mine are Military’s. I have more seki models than golden models, though. If the Military’s are different handles and blade steels they should count separately though, right? Favorite Millie carry is either cruwear or Ti; manix2xl, endura, and caly 3 hap40. Still don’t have a Taichung model, though I tried but failed to get a k2 and Hungarian folder.
