I do more trading and buying pre-owned knives then buying new these days.

But when I do buy new I go with reputable internet sellers like KSF and DLT.

Both have many Canadian Customers and are familiar with the best ways to ship across the border.

I'm not in Canada, but from those who are, I hear a lot of good things about Warriors and Wonders. Neil at True North also sells in both Canada and the US. Many of the usual US dealers will ship to Canada. Just check their shipping policies to be sure. New Graham Knives, Knives Ship Free, The Knife Connection, and Grand Prairie Knives are four of the US biggies.

For Canadians I would definitely recommend Warriors and Wonders in Vancouver. There's also S&R knives in Toronto but as I live in Vancouver I've never dealt with them. I believe these two companies are the biggest knife stores in Canada.

I live near Northwoods Knives, which is the brick & mortar face of Knives Ship Free. Since I can go fondle there, I support them with my dollars. If I didn't have them so close, I would probably buy a lot from Bladehq.

+1 for Warriors and Wonders. I had some problems with my payment being processed, they held on to the order for a few days until I got it sorted out. Were incredibly patient the whole time; and even got a hand written thank you note when it arrived! Customer service at its finest.

I've bought from BHQ, Knifeworks, the Zon, and GPKnives. I will never, ever buy a knife on fleabay.

I try to buy hand made knives on the exchange here, there are some great deals to be had.
