Where have all the "Plain Jane" 21s Gone?

Over in the CRK forum here at Bladeforums there is a thread discussing the model 31 and “lock rock.” I suspect that thread push many people to purchase the model 21 that they could find instead of risking this “lock rock” some people are complaining about. I don’t own either the 21 or 31 so I can’t really speak to it. I have a Mnandi that I love and I doubt that I will buy either of the 21 or 31. Good luck finding a 21.
 
Too bad you’re not left handed, there’s still one or two lefty’s in the wild. The closet thing I’ve got to a PJ is a Starbenza, all the rest are micarta or CCG’s.
 
I got lucky enough and a great friend gifted me a large 21. But I was quite surprised when I literally searched every authorized CRK dealer and found ONE, located in Europe and with the Euro, they wanted $700.00 for it. Thanks so much for great friends, and this beauty is never leaving my side, but thanks to all the responses as its quite interesting.
 
With the issues encountered with the 31, I'd say all the 21's have been stashed in safes and knife boxes. Sorta like a "break glass in case of emergency" situation.
