just curious as to what store, or website people have bought the majority of their knives, ive gotten a lot through walmart, and some pretty nice ones actually, but most of the higher end ones i have come from amazon, with a few being bought a different sportings stores

Knifecenter, new graham and gpknives and not because they support this forum. I was buying from them due to selection, price and service before all the "rules."
 
Since I collect discontinued original Schrade Old Timer knives, perhaps the majority of my knives have been purchased from eBay. I also purchase from forum members, discount outdoor stores, discount department stores, and many different knife dealers - both online and in person.
 
As I collect US bayonets and military issue knives, discontinued Kabars and defunct companies such as Western, Blackjack, and .....,

my collection denizens originally came primarily from gun shows, Surplus stores, estate/garage sales, pawn shops and newspaper ads until fleabay arrived on the scene. It has been the source of the vast majority of my collection expansions in the last 5 years.

For the non-collection users, here on BF, sporting goods stores, e.g., Academy Sports & Outdoors, Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, local gun shops, Craig's List.
 
Blades we love and the exchange pretty much exclusively. There is no other place where better prices are found.
 
Customs are from Vince at FHCK, haven't bought a production knife in a while, but if I was going to, it would be KnifeWorks....
 
Over the years most of the ones I've purchased new have come from New Graham Knives, the ones I've purchased on the secondary market have come from a whole bunch of different sellers, but were mostly eBay auction "wins".

On topic, I have bought most of my knives here on the exchange. For the most part other members here a trustworthy and great to deal with!
 
I have purchased the vast majority of my knives here off of the BF sales forum, & a few off of the JD. The knife that was responsible for giving me this addiction: the Zero Tolerance 0200 Military Folder.
