Really, You must be young. I've heard the old saying "killing commies for Christ" from several Vietnam veterans. Always thought it was a cool saying. Sort of like how CIA stands for Christians In Action.

Ha! Not young just not religious. I always thought the teachings of christ was to NOT kill people but whatever. LOL

I'm not religious either but have no problem with some of these sayings and don't take anything literally nor wear my heart on my sleeve about my beliefs or lack of beliefs. Especially not in an internet forum format.

With all that said, we will not allow this thread to go down the road of a religious debate. In any fashion. It will simply be closed if everyone needs to start wearing their heart on their sleeve on this.

I sort of went dumpster diving one time back in college. IIRC we were driving from one kegger to a different kegger, somebody had to piss, we pulled into a supermarket lot behind the dumpster. It was mid-winter. In the dumpster's topmost layer was a motherload of ice cream, very frozen and just "expired" that day. We took it all, went back to the dormitory, fired up some... ah... herbal medicine, and proceded to feast upon that munchelicious ice cream.

But we did it in the name of God and capitalism and alma mater. Go 'Necks!

Oh man. Maybe I need to restrict my posts to the anything goes thread. I just got back from my daily walk only to see that my "Killing commies for Christ" phrase was taken seriously. It was a saying we used to say sarcastically during the Viet Nam war. I did not mean to offend any Christians. But I really don't like communism, fascism, or any other kind of dictatorship. And I think that freedom is worth fighting for. As for the freegans and other moochers.....maybe they can get a union and shake us all down the accepted way.
