Where/how do you store the majority of your knives?

Where/how do you store the majority of your knives? All except perhaps those in the kitchen or a tool chest in the garage or wherever?

Do you store them in a dedicated place (e.g. a machinists chest or other cabinet) or are they spread out all over the place?

It seems like the reasonably-prices wooden machinists chest from Harbor Freight is pretty popular. I need something a bit bigger. I've considered a Gerstner, but they're quite pricey and difficult to find used as a decent price.
 
Nalpak Pelican 21 space. They make larger Pelican cases with their proprietary closed cell foam. I use about three 1”x1” desiccant packs which are rechargeable in the microwave.

Most of them are in the gun safes. I have plug in dehumidifier things so I figure that should help with rust. I keep my edc Recon 1 out along with an SAK and a small cheapo flea market auto (also the only one I sharpen with a carbide v sharpener) I use to open mail and because it's fun to play with. I did pull out my BK2 for deer season but when I'm done it'll go back in the safe.

Same here. I have a number of Tupperware containers full of knives. Every few weeks I switch to another container and play with the knives in it. Give them a nice coat of wax, etc.
 
I rotate mine out of the safe and onto my living room table, by my recliner so I can have about 18 there at all times. That way I can check them out and make sure they are wiped down, oiled, working correctly. I just like watching TV and reaching over flipping one open, enjoying the craftsmanship and design, deciding whether to use it, move it along, or just put it up for later.
 
All of my autos/balis/folders are stored in nylon knife cases in my safe.

All of my fixed blades are stored in a closet in their original boxes (where available). The original boxes (where available) for all of the autos/balis/folders are also stored in the closet.

I have a desk made by my grandfather that’s is in my hunting room, the majority of my knives are on that desk. I have a small cedar box on my dresser that I keep a few sentimental knives in. The rest are scattered around my garage, truck, work...
