Dear Members,

Let's say I'm a pacifist.

If I'm walking down the street and two guys step out and start to beat me up, and I defend myself, am I in a fight?

When an enemy declares war on you, guess what? You are at war. Whether you want it or not. At least the French President has the brass to call it what it is.

And just as Ted Cruz put it, we were at war with Nazi Germany even though all Germans may not have been engaged in the fight. Yes, we are at war with Islam. The part of Islam that is at war with us. Whether the larger part of the Muslim faith believes in, engages in or supports radical Islam, that choice is theirs to make.

So for Muslims, it comes down to a choice of which side are you on? You are either with the radicals or against them. Anything in between is tacit approval and that means you are part of the enemy that has declared war against us.

We are at war with Radical Islam and that is a fact. It is how they see it and it appears now that the rest of the world is beginning to see it in spite of the reluctance of the Democrats, Liberals, and current administration of this country that cannot or will not face the facts and speak the truth.

And as far as an official declaration of war and the fact that ISIS is not a recognized state, I know all about the treaties and NATO Agreements that would force other allied countries into the fray. Perhaps it is time that that should happen.

Sad to say, our new Canadian Prime Minister, 'Sunshine' Trudeau, seems to think singing Kumbayya with with Obama constitutes 'action'. Canada's pitiful six jets are to be withdrawn a.s.a.p. and a few more dozen Canadian 'advisors' will be sent in to train the forces opposing ISIS at some indeterminate time... maybe they'll teach them to sing. A lot of Canadians are hanging their heads in shame, me included.

I agree with you Mr. Emerson. Other countries need to stop depending on the USA to be the majority fighter in this fight. It affects them also, as the Paris incident (among many others) clearly illustrates. It's time they stepped up and the entire will of the world be brought against the radicalism.
 
I think people need to understand Wahhabism and where Sunni and Shia Muslims fit in. I feel that saying we are at war with Islam is too broad of a statement.

Personally I would like to see Saudi Arabia offer troops and support. But they won't, which in your post means they are supporting ISIS, and we are BFF's with the Saudis. Go figure.

The US needs support from all NATO nations and all Shia Islamic states, since Shia Muslims are hated by Sunni and ISIS is an ultra orthodox group of Sunni Muslims.
 
The sad news is I am not sure the man living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. is an American, or really an American citzen by birth or met the qualification to have run for POTUS in the first place. Let alone be elected second time to the highest office in the land.

But the best explanation I had got from a WW-II Veteran who served in the U.S. Army Transportation Corps, better know as the Merchant Marines in all three theaters of that war as a Ensign, Perser Pharmacist Mate was. Why would any one not vote for Santa Claus. As Obama was & is Santa to many pasing out food stamps, welfare, free cell phone, and other goodies to people to lazy to work. But could vote, and voted for you know who.

Obama is like a one man side show clown, he travels the world representing the USA, making a fool of himself, and the world laugh at the USA. He do not support our military personal or veterans that sacrificed, and sacrafice daily and in past times to preserve the American way of life.

The Department of Veterians Affairs facilities for the most part are not up to par, some are way below par, and he pretends to care by making stops, promising change, and add another photo for his presidential libruary after he leave office.

Now ISIS attachs France & France's President asks for help in joining a fight against ISIS, and Obama is vascellating. Obama refuses to listern to his top generals, and intelligence people on matters of ISIS, teorrism, and other matter of homeland security.

I pray everyday that the USA will not be attacked by ISIS, and hope the people who are trying to protect the USA from ISIS are soon given the go ahead to take care of ISIS once and forall.

My Dad was a Merchant Marine during WWII and they are not Veterans and do not have veteran status. He served on Victory class ships in Europe and the Pacific. They were a civilian transport division. He joined because he was 4F and was unable to join the Navy. My Uncle, who passed in 1989 was in the 1st AVG in China. Not a pilot, but in a support roll. He did have Veteran status.

As for Obama, while I dislike him as a POTUS, just the fact that his mother was a US citizen at time of birth, regardless of where he was born, would still make him a US citizen. Same situation as Ted Cruz.

As for Veteran not being supported by Obama....please look at the bills supporting Veterans and who voted "NO"........and who voted "Yes"

Wrong I believe the year was 1990ish, and the Merchant Marines got VA recognition & were eledgeable for VA Benefits. My Father use to go to the San Diego VA Medical Center, he was low income so he was in a priority group where he got everything for FREE. Because of his low income.

He is buried in a VA Cemetary, and many ordinary merchant marine seamen or ships company are buried in VA Cemetaries all of the USA.

Above is a link to the NY Times story that gave the information about merchant marines getting VA benefits. Of course no one went out of their way to track down the old sailors and notify each one.

If you dad is still alive get to intouch with the VA and ask to get him in the system, he earned those benefits.

I guess I am wrong....just talked to my Dad and he still insisted that he does not. But I see some articles on the change..
 
Well if it makes you feel any better I had to fight with the VA to put the word Ensign on my gfather's grave marker. He was not an ordinary seaman, and he was an officer. One of the few personal pocessions he kept all his life was his Merchant Marine Cap Insignaia, & his Ensign's Bar.

The least capable leader in the history of parliamentary democracy. A volunteer drama teacher, never held a job. I am sure that leaders from every other country are shaking their head in wonder.

The sad thing is, I believe, that it is going to take something like the Paris attack to occur in the US or Canada for the citizens of these two great nations to wake up. Only then will the gravity of the rising situation be understood. It's too easy for people to look the other way when it happens thousands of miles away.
 
The world would be a better place if the POTUS was a clone of Ronald Reagan, as leaders of other countries respected or feared him. It was kind of interesting when Jimmy Carter was in the White House the Iran hostage situation drug on and on. Reagan was being sworn in and the hostages were released.
 
This is it, it's the developed world vs. savages. They don't care about how nice we are, or how much we care. They don't care if we call it a "set back", or an "unfortunate incident". They just want to kill us and our entire way of life. It's time people wake up, and get ready for a new normal, one where they better learn they have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

The problem is, not all Muslims want to kill non Muslims. People need to understand the dichotomy of Islam and why some think like they do. If we clump them all together, we just make enemies of people that are not the enemy.
