Anyone else on this forums still haven't received their full size Ritter M2. He said he'd send out an email on the progess this week but hasn't done it. UGH

I got mine a little while back, but after I sent a couple e-mails. Maybe if you send one it'll move you up the line.

Well on BM forum last week he said he'd personally send an email on the status in the middle of this week. But I'd consider the middle of this week Thursday so hopefully he'll send one. I mean if none show up by end of June, thats ridiculous. He said June. Its ashame they had such poor communication between aeromedix and bm and the customers. Its not that I've waited so long its that communication has been so poor. I guess Ill keep on truckin

I am also waiting on a full size M2 RSK folder that I ordered in FEBRUARY...

Brent Blue from Aeromedix posted on Bladeforums offering to look into it personally if I emailed him. I took him up on the offer weeks ago and he never responded to a single email. :jerkit:

People who ordered months after me received their knives within a week... (and I have verified with them that they made no special requests regarding serial numbers, etc)

Last word from Aeromedix customer service was two weeks ago - at which time they said that Benchmade was supposed to have shipped the the last 30 knives that week, and that they had a call in to Benchmade and hoped to have good news soon. Since then, they've been silent. Delays are one thing; being pushed to the end of the line while later orders get filled first is another thing altogether.

Did someone say Ritter? What a great EDC knife. I don't have it in M2, of course, but I like the easier sharpening and performance of the S30V. I have a couple of D2 blades that take forever to sharpen. I can't imagine what the M2 would be like. I see it's 65 on the hardness scale...WOW.

I have over 70 high and medium priced production knives of all kinds and from all makers. The Ritter became my EDC almost the day I got and it has stayed that way. It has it all. What a great knife. Whew.....I just had to tell someone...now I feel better.

When I got the knife, there was a littlle catalog that showed a large Ritter plain blade in black that was coming out. Anyone hear of a release date for that model?

Regards to all Ritter Griptilian carriers.

Release date... March pushed back to April pushed back to June due to supply problems.

They've been sold out for a while (perhaps oversold) But hey, if July rolls around and they're still making excuses, mine will probably be available.

I decided to ask what their explanation is for 1-2 week delivery times on orders placed in April/May while orders from February remain unfilled. Here is their response (shawn.sears@aeromedix.com):

"We recoginize that the M2 knives have been handled poorly by all parties involved and we are writing new procedures for future knife releases to ensure this situation NEVER happens again.

I have no other explanation for you at this time."

I wish I knew just what the "situation" is... :barf:

Hey everyone,
I finally find out what that situation was. The person at aeromedix said that Benchmade had to fulfill other government related contracts I guess meaning military equipment, but not sure. He said they are hoping by the end of June they all will be shipped out. He said he highly doubts they will be delayed into July and if so only the first week.

Sounds like they need to get their facts (or BS) straight. Here's a quote from a 6/6/06 email from Shawn Sears at Aeromedix:

"My last communication with Benchamde had the final batch of knives in assembly and a possible ship date (to Aeromedix) of last week. I have a call into Benchmade to confirm the knives status and hope to have good news.

Thanks for your patience.

If the approx. 30 remaining knives were already in assembly and expected to ship to Aeromedix (according to benchmade) 3 weeks ago, the current story doesn't make any sense. The only thing that's been consistant about communications with aeromedix over the course of this deal is the inconsistancy of their excuses/explanations.

Well just have to wait and see. Ill be extremely surprise if the knives are not shipped at either last week of june or few days after that. Such a great knife I really need to have it. Never waited so long for a knife.

Benchmade delivered more Ritter M2 RSK than originally projected (BM was using up all of their remaining M2 stock on the M2 RSK run) so Aeromedix opened up the M2 RSK order desk to sell the extra knives. I ordered one 10 July (Monday) and it arrived today (Wednesday). The box says xxx of 340 (with xxx being less than 240) ;)

Post from Brent Blue at Aeromedix

Reading that post again, while the box says xxx of 340, it should read xxx of 240, since there were 70 extra blades beyond the 170 originally estimated by BM.
