I am a subscriber to the more is better theory, especially where INFI is concerned but I wondered for a knife that will see more chopping which is better. I really would LOVE to get something in 5/16 but I will have to carry this thing around in the backcountry and maybe the thinner blade would be a better chopper (but sometimes coolness outweighs "perfect" function
). Where is the balance point on the two offerings? And I don't hear this asked too often but how much do these two thicknesses weigh?
