Where is the...

I was going to ask the same question not only about the new Style but also the other Leatherman tools - my recollection is that the packaging of Leatherman products does not indicate "Made in USA" so I was just curious.

Leatherman is "sort of" made in USA. Some components are manufactured or processed offshore, not enough to disqualify as USA made in most states, but not in compliance with more stringent California domestic content requirements. Several years ago, Leatherman was successfully sued about this by the state and could not claim MIUSA there, so they dropped the term for all their products, even those completely made here. In any case, I believe all are at least assembled in Portland, OR.

Thanks. I'll buy two then, knowing that my money isn't going to fund the PLA to buy stuff that we will eventualy face.
