Where should I buy leather for a sheath?

I did a burn test and since it did not continue to burn and rubbed the char on white paper and no green streaks so I am thinking it is veg tanned. Thanks for the info!

Agreed, the leather from there that I've seen so far in that bundle was a mix of chrome and some other tannage that is either double tanned (veg and chrome) I have heard that some stores do sell squares of true veg tanned leather, all be it pricey.

The stamps in the tubes are Hide Crafter. They are definitely a step up from the Chinese made Tandy stamps, at least in my experience.

Here are two stamps, the heavier one is Hide Crafter.

Much better quality.

I didn't see any veg tanned in their scrap bags. The veg tanned squares at my local store are too light for sheath making.

You're welcome. For whatever reason the tube package says Made in China (I think), but that's incorrect unless they are referring to the packaging.
