where the heck did this come from?

What kind of age limit do you impose on trick or treaters who come to your house? Do I need to involve my innocent little girls in order to score here?

Just come in costume. ;) But if you bring the girls, you get one EACH. Soooo. . . bring the whole family. ROTFL

Only 5 made?

Super. Dave, Daniel, myself lay claim to three of them. Now who has the other 2?

I don't know where the number 5 comes from but that seems about like the number that Jerry handed out at Blade.

So, Chuck, how can you stand that ugly black coating and ugly black micarta?

I've got a nice Sage/Tan SAR-5 that I would trade straight up.

Uhm, they call it the un-named knife for a reason.

Brace yourself for the shameful HOG demotion.

well, if you know someone who has one, and can get jerry to okay it with you, and the initial hog recipient/buyer, then they either desperately need the money and have to breach the contract (with jerry's permission), or they are no longer able to be in possession of the knife :(, thus being up to their estate or survivors to fulfill their initial agreement to transfer the blade to you upon their being unable to retain it. finding out where they are isn't necessarily "unhoggish", it's all in how you go about obtaining it (or more likely not obtaining it). those 2 particular unnameable models are all about trust and respect for jerry's "man to man" "hog to hog" user contract.

I have never had the impression that those models were "Not To Be Named" but rather never to be sold or shown. I mean there's a page for it on badmojo for cying out loud:

I have a small military overrun (31 pieces of a special knife called the "SOUL-1") that does not exist. I cannot show pics of the piece nor is anyone who buys one allowed to show pics or have pics taken. If I sell one of these to you, you cannot resell it. Sorry for all of the rules boys, but I'm not callin' all of the shots on this one. I can only show you this piece in person and I can only sell it to you if I know you personally.

People naturally want what they can't have, right? The info is on badmojo where anyone who cares enough to look can find it. However, if everyone talked about it openly I think we would see a lot of over-enthusiastic piglets (myself included) trying to sniff that one out. You'd see a lot of threads being started that will naturally lead nowhere. I think it would get pretty annoying.

Some of us get worked up enough over standard models that ARE possible to obtain (with a bit of effort/patience). No reason getting people worked up over something they (probably) can't have! So I suspect that's why people don't even want to say it's name out in public.

However, that's just my take on the matter - I could be way off! :p

If I had known what this thing supposedly looks like, I wouldn't have posted pics. I probably wouldn't have stripped it either.

I don't think I can put the cat back in the bag now.

meant to be a joke, I.E. voldemort - "he who shall not be named". anyone who knows of the two overrun models being referenced will know the assume it's referring to them.

Keep counting up folks... ;) I'm thinking there were at least a dozen at the offering Blade 06.

Well it's tough to put up with the black/black, but I manage.

Oh, BTW, PM sent.

Damn...I've been demoted and I don't even have a hog name. ; )

Btw...I'd already read the post on BadMojo...just didn't realize that's what we were talking about. I actually kinda thought the BadMojo info was an inside joke.
