I have been looking around for bars of copper bar suitable for making bolsters on my knives. I can seem to find any though. Can someone put a link on where to find some? I would appreciate any help i can get on this.
Thanks,
Gary

I'm sorry this isn't in the U.S. but "Bearing Bronze" in Cambridge ontario Canada supplies it. Their phone # is 1-519-622-7900.

Ebay. I know not everybody uses Ebay but I always check there for any new material or tool I may need. There's always plenty of copper, brass, bronze, O1, A2, etc. If you haven't worked with copper before, it isn't like working steel or aluminum. It is real sticky when working it with cutting tools. Twist drills will catch and stall or worse, spin your unclamped part out of your hand. The trick to drilling it is to put a small flat face on the leading edge of your drills. I use a diamond file to do it. 1/8" and smaller drills don't seem to need it as much but anything larger may give you some trouble.

Thank you for the advice, I have never really worked with copper before. I really like the look it has though, so I will use your advise when I get around to doing it :)
