Hi Guys,
I'm sort of new here, but I'll cut to the chase . Pun intended. I've had a Lansky system for years also have diamond stones but could never get the thing to work like I thought it should. Anyway I have decided to get an Edge pro Apex with extra stones. Where can I get this system for the best price on the web ? Also is this system hard to use ? I have heard nothing but good things about it ! I like my knives to be razor sharp, and prefer to push cut things than pull cut them with in reason of coarse. Any advice here on buying an Edge Pro ? Also most of the knives I've tryed to sharpen with the Lansky have been of good steel. Thank you for the advece !!!

I like to use froogle.com to search for things to buy, at least when I'm looking for the cheapest price. I usually take the bottom few prices, compare shipping on those sites and go from there. If you want to support a good company that sells them, I can't help you much there, because I don't know any specific ones that sell them.

Beakman,
I just bought one within the last two days. I will not plug one vendor over another, but check carefully to see what you are getting with your kit, not just the price. Someone may be $10 cheaper, but will also leave out the ceramic rod, which then actually makes them more expensive (if you want the rod). Decide what you want, and then try to find somebody close who seems like they have been around awhile (ie. they are going to be around in the future) and who may offer low cost shipping and/or quick shipping. Sometimes lower shipping cost equates to slower shipping.

Also, check out Edge Pro's official site. There is a link there showing contact info for a number of vendors.

I did a Google search on *Edge Pro Sharpener* and found quite a few hits. I then looked under the Froogle link in the Google search engine and found a few vendors with prices. The Apex model can be had by a few Internet vendors. The *Professional* version can only be acquired on the Edge Pro website. It is expensive but you get what you pay for.
