So I thought I had decided to go back to a three blade combo for my kayaking adventures but now all of a sudden I think I may have dismissed the Leuku puuko combo to quickly. It may be great for my needs. Im looking at the stromeng, helle or Roselli right now as I heard they re some of the best.

Can anyone give me a good place to start my search? Every website I find doesnt offer pricing in USD or is out of stock?

Thanks for the help.

Start with J. Martinni and Wood Jewel. A quick Google and there will be links to the better Nordic and Finnish makers. Lot of nice sets out there.

I have the Wood Jewel combo (WJ-LL) from Ragnar and it is GREAT. I have not found a single task (appropriate to a knife) which one or the other did not do well, and they are TOUGH. The set, including the sheath, looks really good (to me) also  .

Im new but I dont understand how a general knife question belongs in the feedback forum? To me this is the place to talk about transactions on the site? Also noticed I havent gotten a single reply since the question was moved? I know I am new so please help me understand the logic here?

Thanks,
Alex R.

General Knife Discussion is for discussing the knives themselves. FEEDBACK is for discussing deals and dealers.

Sunday is not the busiest day to be getting answers to anything.

As Rich S mentioned - Ragweed Forge. Large inventory, fair prices, quick shipping. Check out Roselli UHC (ultra high carbon) knives before pushing the button. I use the carpenter knife daily.

I have the Roselli Hunter and Carpenter. It would be hard to find a more comfortable handle than the Carpenter.

I also have the Isakki Jarvenpa combo puukko and leuku. Make a nice kitchen set.

lamnia.fi has most puukkos/leukkus....

If you're willing to pay a higher cost for the knife and shipping (I believe they're based out of Finland) then this is the way to go. Their selection is better than any U.S. Store I've come across online. I'd check Lamnia first and find something you like, then check a store like Ragweed Forge to see if they have it. They also carry a lot of custom puukkos from makers like Pekka Tuominen and Jukka Hankala, but these are typically high end customs in the $500-$2,000 range.

Thats a little rich for my blood but I am in contact with Ragweed & Lamnia.ff. I am hoping to get a slightly custom set from either YP Taonta or Roselli. Wiah me luck. Thanks for all the info these are not easy knifes to find. They should be perfect for my bushcraft needs though.

Kellam Knives......also if your on Facebook, Puukko Collectors, a lot of great makers selling their pieces. Look for TS knives......outstanding maker

Ragweed Forge is an excellent dealer that I highly recommend. Roger over at Knifeworks.com has a selection too.
Kellam is reliable, but a bit high when I shopped there. And their knives, as I understand it, are rebranded from different manufacturers.

The difficult part, the two-knife sets are less common than individual knives. Some brands do not sell sets at all.
I see Lapin has a couple of sets, and those are nice for the money. Järvenpää are also nice, and they have a set that looks perfect - unfortunately sold out at Ragweed.
Helle, Karesuando, Ahti, and Brusletto all make nice knives. Helle and Karesuando are bit more finely finished than the others, and offer exotic handle choices. The high-end Marttiini knives are works of art, and their mid-range knives (Lynx and Lumberjack models) are good for the money.
I have no experience with Wood Jewel or Roselli, but they have a good rep on the forums.

Hope this helps.
