Perhaps I'm blind... I looked at the newbie info page and didn't see this info. I'm thinking about getting into handle and sheath making before I take the plunge into making a full blown knife. I was wondering where one can buy various forms of Micarta, handle pins, and glues. Also for sheath making... I was gonna go with the kydex lined nylon variety... anyone know where I can find info on working with kydex stitching and using various types of nylon fabric. And where to buy all those materials... I'd appreciate the info. I don't mind reading tons of stuff if someone can just point me in the right direction...

I make micarta and have started on mosaic pins. I make my sheaths out of dead cows though, so no kydex experience. But I love my Fobus kydex pistol hosters.
 
thanks guys... some good links here. I watched a video on making a kydex sheath... seems pretty simple for a knife... i'm sure a gun is a whole other animal. I need to find some tutorials on stitching cordura.

I've never been able to find a sheath that is perfect IMO although there are many wonderful makers out there with fine products. Hopin I'll be able to make what I consider perfect in time.
