where to buy pewter??

This is a interesting thread. I'm getting ready to make some buttons for renaissance festival coats and was thinking about using pewter for the casting material. I like the idea of solid solder for small test items. That may be perfect for what I want to do. I already have all the tooling for casting bullets so I may be ready to try a test pour.

I'd be interested in seeing what you use and how you make the molds for the buttons. I plan to do the same to make end caps for knife handles.
