How about a hunting or sporting goods store that sells folders? They don’t necessarily have to be a Spyderco dealer per se.Sorry, none that I’m aware of. There are a few custom makers and skrimshaw artists though.
You could try calling Whittle Cutlery if you are interested in a nice chef knife.
I need it because we’re vacationing there but not checking any bags. Wanted to pick one up for EDC upon arrival, then I’ll mail it back home.
I also posted this over on the Spyderco forums, but I live on the Big Island. If you can accept mail where you are staying I can mail you a H1 Pacific Salt 2 to borrow while you stay if you mail it back when you leave.
SAK is my go to vacation knife. Many useful tools and cheap enough that I gift it to someone when my vacation is over. There are a few sporting goods stores around the island, but most are heavily stocked for ocean fishing and tackle. You will find bait knives and dive knives pretty readily. Some fairly decent Riffe ones are available.
A few hardware/general stores may have a few basic offerings from Buck, or SAKs.
Good luck and enjoy your vacation. It’s kinda rainy this week, but it’s still Hawaii.![]()
That’s very kind of you! I’ll think on it. Thank you for such a nice gesture in any case.I also posted this over on the Spyderco forums, but I live on the Big Island.
