Where to buy stag/elk/antler for handles.

I generally leave antlers in the flower beds till they rot away unless it's a good bull then they go on the wall or in the barn waiting for me to mount up. Only the best get sent to the taxi. Out where I live there are a lot of barns full of elk antlers. Maybe I should do something else with them......

Ok, I have searched Amazon and EBAY for Potassium Pommerate with zero luck. Does anyone know where to obtain this stuff, I have some pale scales that I want to darken. Any help will be much appreciated

Even if you search the right name, buy it localy and not online

It's an oxidizer and it has to be shipped HAZ GOODS - shipping prices then get stupid.

I can buy it in my pharmacy or Tractor supply, horse supply, Vet supply, feed store

It's a disinfectant
They also use it on horse hooves to disinfect and toughen up a sore foot.

Home remedy on people feet for athlete's foot.

Yeah I've heard of swimming pool supply places carrying it too and saw it once at Home Depot and then went back to get some and they wern't carrying it anymore. Got a Tractor Supply right across the way from the ranch. Never occurred to me they might have it. Never heard of it for the hooves, always used 50/50 clorox and water for that, works great, probably cheaper than PP. I know all the preppers keep PP around for fire starting too.

To the OP, most Elk, deer Stag etc are Sheds, these animals drop their antlers every year. So no shooting for just handles required .. Though you might want to fill a freezer with tasty, healthy meats!
