I have some stuff from Radio Shack but I dont think its the right stuff. I have a piece of copper and a piece of stainless. How do I solder them together?
When I do it the solder just pools up and sticks to the copper........
blgoode, I really hope for a reply to your question. I have read somewhere that there is a flux for stainless soldering and brazeing stainless but can't remember what it was. Seems like it was described as black. ??

Its IMPORTANT that you buy Stay Clean Flux and Stay Brite Solder......
It will help minimize the problems that you are going to have and maintain your sanity for a while longer.........soldering is a very frustration proceedure, if you look around...there are a LOT of good knifmakers who pin their guards in place.....it is an art that is slowly disappearing.
