Go to your local Goodwill or charity shop and buy a real leather belt. Put fine paste on the rough side and chrome oxide on the smooth side. You might have to clean the smooth side or give it a quick clean with a wire brush so the Cr02 sticks. One dollar should do it!
Both Tony Miller at the first, or Keith De'Grau at the second are excellent to deal with, and have outstanding products. Tony's a bit more expensive, but super nice.
