Recently found photos and threads on this beautiful knife. Many BF members here seem to own one.

I've read of members getting them on trips to Sardinia or through a BF gentleman who lives there. However I'm assuming these beautiful handmade knives are >$200.

One old post mentioned there are inexpensive factory production versions. Anyone know where to get one? I've searched a little, including the big auction site, and have only found one handmade for 165 Euros.

Hi,
I will try to supply Alessandro who seems in hollydays :D

You can find nice simple Pattadese around 200$.
It's a good price to initiate. I've found too many posts here where
guys are looking for sardinian knives aroung 100$. It's sad because for this price
you will only have the shape but a very poor quality knife.

If you use facebook you can go to theses pages to have an idea :

If not I can advise you a Master knife-makers as Andrea Melis whose production is very classical and with a high level
of quality.
You can also ask to Roberto Serra who is also a great knife-maker.

This is a website about the sardinian kinives :

If you need info feel free to ask me or Alessandro .

Best regards .

PS : here is my collection , but sadly most of them cost more than 200$
