Where to get a disc sander chassis or mounting "kit"?

I've got a 3ph motor I want to use with a VFD for a disc sander. I've seen a mounting kit on USA Knifemaker for ~260, but they seem out of stock. Who makes disc grinders that require a motor? Thanks! AC

Check with Scott at Trugrit.com in Ontario Ca, they used to sell a quality frame!

Ah, nice - I like those guys; buy my belts there. They do have a nice frame for $275 w/ disc - I assume one could specify either their flat or 1° disc, both are $85 a la carte.

Hmmmmm.... Now that I'm looking at it, it seems pretty simple compared to USAknife's mounting kit with its faceplate approach. I'm doing some ceiling-gazin' chin-strokin'. If I forewent the tilt functionality, all I really need is to mount the motor raised, on a base, and put a table in front of it. I made a table for my OBM 2x72 (copied from OBMs w/ a little improvement) from a 10x10" of HRS ($18 delivered) so could do similar for this ... lessee, could use some leftover Unistrut (fantastic industrial erector-set stuff and cheap!) for structure.... crib some ideas from ibuildit.ca's 12" disc sander build (made mostly from birch-ply, plans for sale but tons of info and vids on the site) - oh, and his does include a tilt-table... Shoot, now I'm in side-project trouble... Maybe I just sell a few more knives and buy TruGrit's. :-)

I mounted mine on a piece of plywood that is fastened to my bench. I use a Beaumont Metal Specialties face mount table Larry PS My motor has a face mount and a mounting foot. LL
