where to get a present wrapped?

what is a shop or store (either class of or a specific franchise/chain), that will take an item and professionally pack and wrap it with a bow and everything... quickly too

I'm out of town also so I need something ez and common

Almost any major department store i.e. Macys, Nordstroms will wrap your package.

My local pharmacy has a large gift section up front. Whenever I buy any gift or houseware item they ask if I want it giftwrapped.

If you are still searching, look in the yellow pages under "party supplies" and you should find a selection of stores that sell, among other things, wrapping paper. Many of them will wrap presents as well. If you are in a decent sized community, you should have a decent selection. Also, as you say/write you are "out of town" if you are staying at a hotel, they may offer you some assistance if you ask.
