Where to get ATS-34 blade steel???????

I am going to be making my first knife soon, and I need some steel

Where can get ATS-34? Are there any online places i can check out?

I'm not sure where to get it although it is available. If you are indeed making your first knife, you may want to start on something like 5160. The first one never turns out the way you want.

5160 is still my favorite all time steel. It is very forgiving to heat treat, easy to work and produces a good if not great temper line.

just my 0.02 worth.

Look further down the forum and under the post Suppliers List there is a section on blade material suppliers. ANY of the knifemaking supply houses handle ATS34.
