I want some M4 to make myself a neck knife(sort of like Murray Carter design) and I was wondering where to get some? I need it 3/32" thick 1.25" wide about 7" long though I don't mind getting it a little longer

Thanks

Daniel

Niagara Specialty Metals is a bit of a special case, as they are the company that processes all of the steels from Crucible (who make the CPM steels) into flat-stock. Just looking at any random specialty metals place probably won't get you access to CPM steels.

USA Knifemaker carries a bunch of CPM steels, not sure if they have M4. Also New Jersey Steel Baron, and Jantz carry some CPM steels. CPM steels can be hard to get, particularly if it's not a common grade. In that case the only option would be to buy from Niagara. They can custom grind pieces for you, but I doubt it would be terribly affordable unless you're buying a full sheet (2x3')
