Where to get custom "battle blade" made?

How do I go about getting a custom made hand forged, crude, ugly, rustic finnished blade made? I want something that looks like it came off the battlefield of a barbarian war if you get my drift.

The short sword on special there looks like what you are talking about. Also almost all of their bowies are massive and not real polished.

Justin Gingrich at Ranger Knives (formerly of ATC) does alot of excellent custom work and his prices are reasonable.

There are a number of fine bladesmiths who may have what you want.
Al Massey is a custom smith who will do roughly finished or very fine work. I am waiting for him to complete a sword for me. Custom work is not cheap, but for Massey see:

You description was vague - do you want a sword, big knife, and just how big? You will need to wait for any custom work.

Yes, that is exactly the finnish I was looking for. The blade I had in mind is something like this as seen in lord of the rings, Just a big mean no frills chopper.
