where to get Hitachi laminated white steel?

Dictum carries several types of sumiagashi with stainless side cladding. The core is available in Hitachi White Paper steel, VG-10, SG-2, and others. See above link.

The suminigashi from dictum isn't stainless. At least when I got it from them it wasn't. It rust just as easy as the core steel

To the op. I've ordered the white2 and blue2 from them before I got my connection and would laminate it to stainless myself. Or to whatever else I wanted

Thanks guys! what is that Suminagashi? and is there a difference between the white steel and white PAPER steel? ans what is special about Swedish steel?

White and white paper is the same thing. The suminigashi steel has multiple layers for the side cladding. Like really low layer damascus

Suminagashi is a san-mai steel with layered sides. The sides can be anything from a few layers to thirty or more. Some is clad in stainless, others are clad in carbon steels. The above links are ones with stainless sides. They both make good kitchen knives.
