What's a good source of plain, servicable sheaths for working knives? I have been buying sheaths from Texas Knifemaker Supply, but I am wondering if there are other sources. I'm looking for sheaths under $20. Any suggestions?

Still thinking about sheaths for work knives. Another question on this ....

Some factory knives I have seen in stores have blades similar to my knives. Is it possible to buy the sheaths for these knives? I'd like to buy just the sheaths and use them for my work knives. There must be some factory that makes these sheaths by the thousands.

Has anyone ever heard of a sheath factory?

There is a wholesaler of knives and assorted stuff called blue ridge knife works? (I think) that has sheaths from 75 cents to a couple of bucks (yes really) that are overstocks from factory knives or something. They also sell factory knives at major discounts. The holdup (of course) is that you have to have a tax number to order, and there is like a $200 minimum order. If anybody is interested, I can get the contact info.

Why not make your own? There is lots of good patterns to be found, and it's not that hard to do.You dont need a lot of tools to start with either.

If you concider Concealex™ or Kydex© suitable, I make sheaths...strongside, crossdraw, ect.

May not be the look you want, but they have their advantages...
