Throughout looking at different knives and knife makers I have noticed a plethra of screw type fixed blade handle fasteners but dont see the same unique assemblies for sale. I realize some may be making custom hardware but I assume most are bought thru specific places.
I am familiar with the common ones even high end but some of the trick ones dont show up on a google search.

A knifemaker I follow on instagram strictly uses big torx fasteners and another maker asked about them and he said they're custom made for him. Don't know if there's any truth to that. Seems like it would be an expensive endeavor for knife handles. I'm replying cause I'd like to know as well.

can you show an example of what you have in mind?

I worked at fastenal for a while and we could order any Torx we wanted. With torx you are paying a premium for there fancy head but I'm sure you can get them if you know what you are asking for.

I went by Sheffields knife supply to pick up some materials and saw some really cool fasteners that Mike (guy who works there) makes himself. I'm sure they're on there online catalog.

I will look. I need to post some tommorrow.
I like the big industrrial fastners simular looking to chicago screws but not really. I think the gentleman above me is describing something close.
I have used TI 0.25 flipper assemblies but the length is not adjustable.
I ordered some SK Gso fasteners which are bice but not exactly what I want.
I already pay alot for material, fancy scales, why not fasteners?? Lol.

It's from a supplier I feel is often overlooked because their website is old school. Google Sheffield knife supply and click on their online catalog. If you call and ask to speak to Mike I'm sure he'll be able to help you out as with what you're looking for as well.

Glad you posted that I have not seen there site and yes kind of old school but they look to have some great stuff, thanks.

USA knife makers has a good selection of chain ring bolts. They have different sizes and materials.

I'm with John Katt on this one. I was going to mention chain ring bolts. You can find some nice looking ones on bicycle parts sites. Fastenal has all kinds of screws. If I were building that kind of handle, I'd modify a couple screws, and use the standoff method. Sounds like a cool take-down handle construction to me.

I ordered some 1/2 long 8-32 standoffs and titanium allen head screws. Check those out and see how they work thanks all.

I am trying these. Just put alittle heat to them and pretty close to what I am looking for. At least different.
