Where to get wide steels?

I have a knife design that I wish to make, but it requires a piece of steel wider than 2". I am only set up for stock removal, I'm just starting out (after numerous false starts) and I need some 1075/1080/5160 that is 2.5" to 3" wide. I can't find anything that wide. Help please!!!!!

Order the steel sheared from plate. You can get any size you want that way. Admiral steel or Crucible steel will shear to order. They also carry many steel bars in widths to 6". Some knife suppliers carry wider steel, too.
I see Admiral stocks 1075/1080 in 3" and 4".

You can get a 3" wide x 6 ' long piece of 5160 at McMaster-Carr for about $32.00.
