Where would you?

Somewhere with moderate temperature change, and close to a body of water where I could regularly fish. I'm thinking more Southern US, even as far as Florida, save for the mosquitos. There is just so much material, both edible and handy, to work with, in my opinion.

In Tahiti, with both Ginger and Maryann:D

Seriously dude, have you seen them lately? Maryann has aged fairly well, but unfortunately the same can't be said for Ginger....:barf:

Now, if we could step into a time machine and go back 30 years to be stranded with 'em....I'd be all for that :D

Yeah, I grew up in the PNW and it would be a good area with moderate temperature shifts, plenty of water with fish (both fresh and saltwater), game and fowl. Now that I've been in the SE and my wife is from Florida, there is a lot of promise in this area as well. If you're talking four seasons, those would be my two prefered locations, mostly because I know them well enough and the weather, even in the winter, is pretty mild with plenty of water, resources for shelter and availablity of small game, fish, reptiles/amphibians and fowl.

im with joe plus growing up down here i would be more familiar with what grows and what growls.

If you got stranded anywhere in the world...where would it be? Which region would be the easiest to survive with it's resources, temp, etc?

Depends on the definition of stranded. If I were to be dropped in an area with no gear/provisions then I like where I'm at in the Philippines. Fruit trees all over, ocean full of fish, birds, bats, etc to eat...always warm, not many mosquitos (surprisingly).

If I had provisions then probably Michigan because I'm familiar with it, water is never, ever an issue, and there just isn't much in the way of dangerous wildlife there. Even our bears are sissies as far as bears go.

Foodwise someplace like the everglades would be hard to beat...you'd just have to remember the things that would also see you as food...especially the mosquitoes :)

I think I would choose East Tennessee especially if there was a 24 hr Super Walmart handy. :) Oh, survive?

The other place I would choose would probably be in the mountains of Colombia or Equador. That is just some beautiful country with a moderate year around climate.
