Where's my Battle Mistress??? Busse Fraud?!

Mr. Busse

I just recently received my credit card bill. In it was an UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE from your company of $253.95. The balance for the battle mistress I ordered 7 months ago. This strikes me as FRAUDULENT since I was not contacted by any member of your company regarding this charge or the shipment of my battle mistress which I HAVE NOT RECEIVED!!! You e mailed me almost two months ago stating that you will ship to me a battle mistress combat knife on 7/19/00. THE ONLY THING YOU DID WAS CHARGE MY CARD! YOU DID NOT SHIP ME A KNIFE! I DID NOT RECEIVE A KNIFE. I WAS NOT NOTIFIED PRIOR TO CHARGING MY ACCOUNT. Subsequently I have filed a dispute with my credit card company regarding this. I also e mailed you yesterday in the hopes of getting some explanation, but you have not responded. I am disappointed and very upset and feeling very RIPPED OFF AND ROBBED BY BUSSE COMBAT KNIFE COMPANY!

I know the moderator will delete this post so that other prospective customers will not be alarmed, but I will continue posting everyday until this matter is resolved.

Mr. Busse if you believe truly believe in integrity please resolve this as soon as possible. Refund my money or send me the knife.

Now Now, robbed by Busse? I think not. Too respectable of a company to rob people. How would they stay in business? Especially with the ease of blastings like this via internet.

Misshap? Probably. Why don't you talk with Andy or Busse privately before setting fires here? Until you know the truth, you shouldn't try and destroy a company or a persons integrity and reputation.

I can assure you Busse didn't intentionaly try to rip you off.
 
You are wrong, the moderator did not delete this post. I think we need to see just how some people get pissed and sound off with out any thought. Did you call Jerry Busse?, I don't think so!
There are a lot of us waiting for our Battle Mistress's also but are happy to wait for a quality product. Jerry has had some production problems and has kept us all informed on these forums. Why not just cool off and be patient and wait in line with the rest of us.
You might consider that you are on the edge character assination by calling Jerry Busse a fraud. There are a lot of us here who will back him up against the likes of you and your thoughtless comments. If you have a bitch then contact the company in person. If I was Jerry Busse I would gladly send you back your money because you don't deserve to own a Battle Mistress!

I understand how upset you are. I ordered a couple of knives from Busse a while back, after several frustrating months of waiting. My credit card was charged, no knives. I was told they had been shipped, no knives. More days of frustration trying to communicate with Busse.I was told they were lost in the mail and that new ones would be sent in replacement. I was a little skeptical. But new ones were sent in replacement. They were and are great knives, well worth the wait. Jerry got in touch with me and after a few minutes with him and his staff my anger [yes, I was pissed] evaporated. IMHO, these are honest people. Yes, Busse sometimes is inefficient and aggravating. OK, more than sometimes. But they are not fraudulent. My understanding is that the card is only charged when the knives are ready to ship. That's not out of line with reasonable terms of sale. You ordered the knives, no? You agreed to pay for them with your card, no? So you authorised the charge - provided the knives were in fact shipped.
Why haven't your knives arrived? That's a very fair question. Whom did you ask? Busse are a lot more responsive than they used to be. Did you make reasonable efforts to find out? Andy Prisco is usually very, very helpful in sorting out such problems.
I do agree that Busse's customer relations and delivery could stand much improvement. Many of us have been saying that for quite a while. I think they're trying. But yelling "fraud", especially in a public forum is, with respect, way out of line. Actually, it's defamatory. Bad service and bad business, maybe. Dishonesty, I don't think so. Maybe you want to think it over calmly.

I apologize for the tone of my post.

Mr. Prisco called me and things are being handled with expediency. I did not understand the process and delays associated with a Busse knife. All I know is that I've been more than patient and trusted in Mr. Busse when he told me that my ship date was July 19. When I did not receive the knife after that date I figured that they had some delays and I was willing to wait as long as it took because Mr. Busse gave me his word. I didn't know that they would charge my card without me knowing about and not ship a knife along with it. I've tried to call the company before, but all I usually get is a machine. I've left messages before but never get a call back. Now you put yourself in my shoes. You guys may be rich and have money to burn on a knife. I don't. It might be okay for your credit cards to be charge without notice, but I kind frown on that.

In any case I am extremely thankfull to Mr. Andy Prisco for acting on my behalf. I apologize to Mr. Busse for my behavior and statements. I hope that this get resolved soon.

The fact is that I know how good a Battle Mistress is. I don't mind waiting for one. All I wanted was for someone to tell me what the heck was going on. I didn't know the protocols or how the company did business with orders and such.
 
OK, Maynard, maybe you do deserve to own a Battle Mistress. We all blow off steam at times but it realy is better to keep it less public.....any way, I hope I get mine first!

All...both Jerry and I have spoken to Meynard...situation under control. He has also started another thread apologizing...not necessary, but appreciated nonetheless.

Let's allow this thread to sleep peacefully.
