Where's my Echelon?!?!?!

What happened to the August release date? I preordered one and I can't wait any more!
 
I'm guessing that with Kershaw/ZT's backlog, we won't be seeing it for a while. They have a lot on their plates, and as Thomas said in the thread about autos being discontinued, are discontinuing quite a few models because of capacity issues.

Just the fact that, between upcoming models like the Tilt/0550/etc. and staples like the Leek/Blur/etc., Kershaw/ZT have had more knives designed and ready to be made than they have factory floor time to actually make all of them (at least in the quantities and timeframes that they, their distributors/retailers, and the market want). The difficulty of finding production time has come up at various points in that insanely long Tilt thread, and Thomas also mentioned it in a recent post here, saying that they're going to be discontinuing a number of models to reduce the capacity crunch.
 
I agree I have been anticipating the Echelon since Thomas first revealed it on BF this spring.

In the meantime I guess I'll just have to use my Groove - Skyline - Starky Ridge - Scallion , RAM , ENRGII , Blur, OD1 & II , etc etc.........

Now here's an an attitude I love...
 
Going to pick up a Compound in a few minutes. I have a Clash on the way. EDCing my Tremor right now. My kid EDCs a Scallion. Preordered the Echelon a few days ago. Got some G-10 coming to make a G-10 Shallot since that dream was short-lived. Thomas keeps taking my money, like a bully in the lunch line. Oh yeah, I've got a red Skyline coming too, I'm telling the principal!
 
Whats funny is last I heard at SHOT was they weren't going to start production until September. This thread, along with some others, got my hopes up for the Echelon and Piston but I guess the initial estimates were right. I wish I could get on here more to keep up on the new stuff cause I love the designs...
