I ordered that double bit marbles axe and a hawk from him, but no reply to my inquiries or order confirmation, and no charge to the credit card.
I happened to be looking in the feedback forum and saw his name, wondering what was up I checked in and someone else was curious where he was.
I have ordered from him before and he was great, especially good to deal with for canadians, ragweed forge is mentioned highly in the Canadian connection quite often.
Just wondering if anyone knows anything, like is he out of town or if he's ok?
I think a few guys here know him personally so I thought I'd ask.
 
In the past, I've noticed where he was away from his business for a fair period of time, and then would pick right back up again. Ragnar is someone with whom I have no fear of buying, or worry about if I'll get what I needed. He may have a note about an absence on his site, I haven't checked.

I ordered that double bit from him when I posted on that thread, and he got back to me the next AM. That would have been yesterday AM, I think. So he's around. Weird that he never emailed you.

Sometimes it takes him a couple days to reply to emails. He ships very quickly once he gets your order. I wouldn't worry.
 
Whenever I have emailed him he's always told me to make sure that I have a subject line. I think he said that sometimes if it's blank he assumes that it is SPAM. Don't know if you did that or not.
 
I just wish he'd send invoices either by mail or in the order. I ordered several items and one of them wasn't in the box. I have to figure out how to log-in to my gift card to see what I was charged.
 
I think Ragnar lives in western New York. The weather is very cold and nasty in many places now, and the snow is coming down pretty hard in some parts of western New York. Maybe Ragnar decided to stay where he's warm and comfy and will resume business when the weather breaks. Maybe his power is out, too.
 
I would not sweat it. Ragnar is a pleasure to deal with. Maybe an e-mail trouble. Appears you have some fine tools coming.
 
I'd echo what other folks have said. I've ordered from Ragnar several times and have always been really pleased with how he handles things. No, you don't necessarily get an e-mail every step of the way, but he has a good selection and good prices and gets things out really quickly. If he has what I want, I always order from him.
 
When I ordered some Jarvenpaa knives from him, he was very quick to answer my email queries. When I finally ordered them, I got no email, but the knives showed up 3 days later (USPS Priority). So, I don't know (or think) he emails automatically when you order.
 
Probably just a glitch in communications. I remember the first time I placed an order with him on a Friday, he called me up Saturday morning at a decent hour to confirm a detail of my order. Great service.
 
Might double check your junk mail. My email from him to say my order had shipped was there it had been filtered by msn as junk. I received my knives in just a few days and i thought it was weird no email, then i went back and found it. I'm sure everything will work out.
 
I have emailed him a couple times and got no answer but there has never been a problem of any kind getting a order from them. I have ordered there a dozen times or so.
 
I emailed him a couple of times regarding international shipping and haven't got a response. Hope he's back in business again soon
 
I heard he was invading England this weekend? maybe I was mis-informed.

But really great web-site + great service = no worries
