Well, I may have been exaggerating for dramatic effect.
How a "sport" or "hobby" is represented to the public, and who the key representatives are, really matters. This is my concern...if she took up motorcycling (my hobby of choice) and rode around advocating riding in a public manner, it could very well draw negative attention to the motorcycling community. Although I'm not a big Jay Leno fan (just don't find him funny), I do admire him for his success in putting a positive light on the motorcycling community. That said, I'm guessing the negative attention she's getting is more about her personally than about killing an elk or anything else...just hope the negativity doesn't splash on the hunting community in general.
